Job Summary

BSG Mechanical is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee mechanical construction projects from planning through completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing budgets, schedules, and project teams, ensuring that each project is delivered safely, on time, and within scope. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and proven leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and manage all phases of mechanical construction projects.
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets, schedules, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
  • Coordinate with internal teams including estimating, design, and field supervision.
  • Lead project meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and contract requirements.
  • Oversee procurement of equipment and materials in coordination with purchasing.
  • Manage project documentation, progress reporting, and financial tracking.
  • Support project closeout including commissioning, warranty, and turnover documentation.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience in mechanical contracting (HVAC, plumbing, or piping).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, drawings, and specifications.
  • Proficient with project management tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project, PlanSwift Bluebeam, or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Valid Ontario driver's licence and ability to travel to job sites as required.
  • Working knowledge of Ontario Building Code, OHSA regulations, and construction safety standards.
