Description

Midland Transport Limited is currently seeking a professional Class 1 Linehaul Night Shunt based out of Saint John, NB.
The selected candidate will be a reliable person with a strong work ethic, positive attitude and strong commitment to providing Superior Quality Service.  
 

Shift: Sunday - Thursday

•    Miles rate $0.558

•    Hourly pay for drops, hooks, fueling etc.

Responsibilities


•    Running Linehaul between Midland Terminals in the Maritimes. 

•    Communicate efficiently with the dispatch.

•    Operate the trailer in accordance with the safety regulation: company rules while following safety procedures and traffic laws. 

•    Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the truck operation.

•    Report any incident, accident, injury or damage in a timely manner.

 

Qualifications


•    Education Required: High School or GED. 

•    Class 1 driver's license with a minimum of 4 years of safe tractor trailer driving experience in North America required. 

•    Clean driver's abstract and criminal search. 

•    Night driving experience is preferred. 

•    Familiarity with satellite systems.

•    Excellent communication skills, work ethic and reliability. 

•    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

•    Able to lift up to 50 lbs. using the proper equipment.

•    Safety conscious.
