Role Description:
The Senior Repair & Calibration Technician will primarily focus on repairing and calibrating electronic test and measurement equipment, with an emphasis on troubleshooting and repairs at the component level. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, attention to detail, and experience working with industry-standard equipment. This is a full-time role designed for an individual passionate about quality service and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair electronic test and measurement equipment to component level.
- Perform calibrations in compliance with ISO 17025 standards.
- Prepare accurate calibration and repair documentation, including certificates and reports.
- Collaborate with the calibration team to develop procedures for new equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and manage calibration tools and equipment.
- Provide technical support to customers and the internal sales team.
- Assist with technical evaluation of new contracts and provide recommendations.
- Ensure adherence to Health and Safety standards for both in-house and on-site activities.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Instrumentation, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronic repair.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electronic circuits.
- Familiarity with industry-standard test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, and signal generators.
- Experience working in an ISO 17025-accredited environment is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of metrology and calibration processes.
- Proficiency in using calibration software like Fluke Met/Cal or similar tools is an asset.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift and handle equipment weighing up to 25 lbs.
- A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are required.
