Human Resources Assistant

Trenergy is a 100 percent locally owned fabrication plant in St. Catharines, Ontario specializing in the manufacture of boilers, pressure vessels, rail tank cars and more. We are looking for a Human Resources Assistant to assist with high volume recruiting. This is a 6 month contract position.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and maintain job postings on applicable recruitment boards
  • Review candidate applications for possible fit
  • Conduct pre-screen telephone interviews
  • Maintain recruiting tracking spreadsheets
  • Conduct face to face interviews
  • Complete reference checks
  • Schedule applicable skills evaluations, background checks, etc.
  • Provides over all administrative support to the Human Resources department as needed
  • Data entry of employee time, production, and payroll data from time sheets and other records

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary Human Resources certification or in progress
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong written and oral communication
  • Ability to multitask with excellent time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft word, excel and PowerPoint

Required experience:

  • 1 to 3 years administrative experience
  • 1 to 3 years recruiting experience
