Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Physiotherapy Helper to support our healthcare team in providing exceptional patient care. This role involves assisting licensed physiotherapists in delivering treatment plans, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a safe and efficient clinical environment. The ideal candidate will have hospital experience and a strong understanding of medical terminology, with a passion for helping patients recover and improve their mobility.
Responsibilities
- Assist physiotherapists in implementing treatment programs tailored to individual patient needs
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions
- Support patients during exercises and therapeutic activities, ensuring proper technique and safety
- Monitor patient progress and report any concerns or changes to the supervising physiotherapist
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatment notes
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of therapy equipment and treatment spaces
- Provide compassionate patient care, addressing questions and offering encouragement throughout therapy sessions
Skills
- Prior hospital or clinical experience preferred, especially in acute care settings
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to physiotherapy and patient care
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Compassionate attitude with a focus on patient well-being and comfort
- Organizational skills to manage multiple patients and documentation efficiently
