Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment for young students, fostering their academic and social development. This role requires strong communication skills, classroom management abilities, and a genuine enthusiasm for working with children. Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly desirable to support diverse student needs. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure each student's success and well-being.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in subjects such as Math, English, and early childhood education.
- Utilize classroom management techniques to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Assess student progress regularly through observations, assignments, and standardized tests; adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Incorporate technology tools such as Microsoft Office and other computer applications to enhance instruction.
- Provide tutoring and additional support to students who need extra help, including those with disabilities or in special education programs.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and development through meetings or written reports.
- Maintain organized records of attendance, grades, and lesson plans using organizational skills.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational best practices and teaching methodologies.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, school activities, and school-wide initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in an educational setting; classroom experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of core subjects such as Math and English; familiarity with early childhood education is a plus.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable; excellent communication skills are essential.
- Experience with special education or working with students with disabilities is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and general computer skills for lesson planning and record keeping.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, colleagues, and support staff.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.20-$31.62 per hour
