Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Robotics Engineer with expertise in the robotics arms system, PLC, motion control, C++/ Python, and embedded devices programming to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in developing hardware and firmware solutions for robotic systems. You'll do whatever it takes - which might include going to the farm - to ensure our customers have reliable and safe products.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop firmware in Python/C/C++ for embedded systems.
  • Development and implementation of robotic arms systems and technologies, ex. DELTA, SCARA.
  • Implement communication protocols over standard I/O channels such as CAN bus, Ethernet/cat, UART and I2C.
  • Design, program, and troubleshoot robotics arm systems including PLCs, motion controls, sensors, and drives. Develop robust wiring solutions for platforms in challenging environments. Integrate electronic and mechanical components.
  • Designing, developing, and testing integrated systems that combine mechanical, electrical, and software components.
  • Comfortable with interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
  • Ensure robotics system performance through unit testing, integration testing, and continuous integration practices.
  • Document software & hardware designs, requirements, and implementation details.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software components and hardware systems.
  • Work with advanced technologies including GNSS and RTK.
  • Management of technical teams

Required Skills:

  • Experience in C/C++/Python for developing robotics software applications.
  • Previous work with embedded devices and microcontroller programming.
  • Experience with robotic arms systems programming and development, ex. DELTA, SCARA etc.
  • Familiarity with TCP-IP, CAN and Ethernet/Ethercat communication protocols for interfacing with robotic peripherals.
  • Experience in computer vision and robotics control.
  • Experience in Robot path programming.
  • Use industry standard tools for CI/CD such as Jira, Bitbucket, Git during the development cycle for version control traceability etc.
  • Lead or support equipment installation, commissioning, and validation processes.
  • experience in microcontroller applications, ideally in robotics, motor control, industrial and/or safety-critical applications.
  • have been involved in the whole product development lifecycle - all the way from prototype to production and sustaining.
  • Familiarity with robotics sensors (e.g., lidar, IMU, cameras) and their real-world limitations
  • Strong understanding of control system hardware including: PLC's, VFD's, Servos, industrial robots, and vision systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in robotics, automation, or industrial control systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and system-level thinking.
  • Highly self-motivated and comfort with working in a fast-paced startup environment with startup-oriented hours
  • Commitment to working onsite five days a week to contribute to positive in-office culture
  • Excellent problem-solving ability, with both scrappiness and precision when tackling challenges.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a willingness to "get your hands dirty" during field testing.
  • Passion for robotics, autonomous driving, and Agtech technology.
