Role Summary

My client is looking for a Chief Estimator to lead the estimating and preconstruction strategy out of the office in Burlington, ON. This role oversees all bids and cost planning, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and alignment with company goals. You will guide a high-performing team, support business development, and influence major project pursuits across our global sectors.

What You'll Do


• Lead the estimating function and standardize best practices


• Manage conceptual to detailed estimates on large-scale projects


• Collaborate with execs on pricing, bid strategy, and risk reviews


• Build strong client, consultant, and subcontractor relationships


• Drive value engineering and market intelligence efforts


• Mentor and grow the estimating team

What You Bring


• 10+ years in estimating or preconstruction, incl. large commercial or industrial projects


• 5+ years leading teams


• Strong knowledge of construction methods, cost structures, and contract bidding


• Expertise with estimating tools (e.g., Sage, WinEst, Bluebeam)


• Experience with projects $50M+


• Excellent leadership and communication skills


• Professional certifications (CPE, CCE, LEED) a plus
