Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Pond Service Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in restoring and maintaining water features to pristine condition. The technician will be responsible for servicing residential and commercial ponds, performing seasonal cleanouts, checking filtration systems, testing water quality, and ensuring all components are operating efficiently. A background in landscaping, irrigation, or water systems is a strong asset.

Duties

  • Conduct routine and seasonal maintenance of ponds, fountains, and water features, including debris removal, pump inspections, and system flushing
  • Test and balance water chemistry using appropriate test kits
  • Diagnose and repair basic pump, filtration, and plumbing issues on-site
  • Install or replace pond components (pumps, UV clarifiers, skimmers, liners, etc.)
  • Use hand tools and light equipment safely to clean and service pond infrastructure
  • Communicate clearly with clients regarding pond conditions, recommended services, and follow-up actions
  • Record all maintenance work, findings, and materials used in service logs
  • Coordinate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient route planning and job completion
  • Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle and uphold company standards on every job site

Experience

  • Prior experience in pond servicing, landscaping, irrigation, or plumbing is preferred
  • Familiarity with pond equipment (pumps, filters, UV lights) and water chemistry testing is an asset
  • Strong troubleshooting ability and mechanical aptitude
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and in/around water
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting equipment and working in kneeling or crouched positions
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with clean driving record
