Title: Sterling Filing Gateway (SFG) Developer

Location: Remote

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Sterling File Gateway Developer to join our integration team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG), Connect Direct, control center and related protocols and standards for secure file transmission. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining B2B file transfer solutions to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable integrations with trading partners and internal systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and support solutions using IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) and connect direct
  • Configure routing rules, protocols (CD, MQ, API, SFTP etc.), and partner onboarding
  • Troubleshoot file transfer issues and provide timely resolution
  • Perform system maintenance, upgrades, and patching of Sterling environments
  • Collaborate with business units and trading partners to implement file transfer requirements
  • Document processes, technical designs, and system changes
  • Ensure compliance with security and audit standards
  • Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior developers and support teams

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Sterling File Gateway, connect direct and control center
  • Strong understanding of codelist, SFG routing rules
  • Experience with protocols such as SFTP, MQ, HTTP/S, AS2, Connect:Direct
  • Experience with partner onboarding and certificate/key management
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools for Sterling (like IBM Control Center)
  • Solid understanding of file encryption/decryption and secure data transmission
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
  • Experience in cloud-based deployments of Sterling (AWS, Azure, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to DevOps tools for CI/CD in integration environments
  • Experience with IBM Control Center, Sterling Secure Proxy, or Sterling Connect: Direct
