We are seeking a Senior Designer that brings with them a great deal of experience, knowledge and passion for their craft and the industry. You possess a keen eye for detail, a creative knack for turning simple briefs into big ideas, and a strategic mindset for seeing beyond the task-at-hand and identifying greater opportunities. You're confident designing for both print and digital mediums and your portfolio of work is reflective of such. You're willing to take the lead on bigger projects, able to mentor junior staff, and comfortable collaborating with other members of the creative and client team.
As Senior Designer, you'll work closely with account and project managers to develop and oversee the visual component of multi-channel marketing campaigns (as well as the everyday one-off tasks, too). You'll contribute to a wide range of client accounts, allowing you to flex your creative muscle across a broad variety of sectors. Most importantly, you'll receive generous support from other experienced and talented creatives to hone your craft and enrich your career.
Given the overall structure of our agency, you will have front line exposure to clients and be involved in all aspects of a campaign. This is an excellent opportunity to show your voice and and take the lead.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and collaborate with the creative team to develop impactful, strategic concepts and campaigns
- Lead ideation sessions both internally and with clients
- Work with the account team and the clients to develop the vision of brand campaigns and strategy
- Oversee final designs and ensure they adhere to client brand standards / identity guidelines
- Contribute to the development of the creative department overall
- Provide support and mentor Jr. design staff
Education, Work Experience & Skills Desired:
- 5+ years of graphic design experience
at an agency level
with proven portfolio of work - Bachelor's degree or Diploma in graphic design, creative advertising or equivalent
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Video and animation experience is an asset
- Versatile skill set and ability to design for print and digital channels
- Experience in print production is an asset (i.e. publishing, packaging, file setup & specifications)
- The utmost attention to detail and a drive to consistently strive for perfection
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and operate in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong & effective communication skills
- Fluent in English
