Position Overview:

As a Millwright Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced journeyperson millwrights and machinery movers, gaining hands-on skills in machinery installation, repair, rigging, and maintenance. This role is ideal for someone eager to build a career in the trades while learning in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with installation, maintenance, repair, and moving of machinery and industrial equipment.
  • Support senior millwrights and rigging crews on job sites.
  • Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment.
  • Learn and follow proper rigging and safety procedures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications (training provided).
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Registered or eligible to register as a Millwright Apprentice (preferred).
  • Mechanical aptitude and interest in working with tools and machinery.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments (lifting, climbing, confined spaces).
  • Valid driver's license (DZ or AZ license is an asset).
  • Safety certifications (Forklift, Working at Heights, WHMIS, etc.) are an asset but not required.
