- Create traditional South Indian dishes like dosa, idli, uttapam, sambar, rasam, vada, pongal, and various chutneys.
- Cook meals with attention to taste, texture, and presentation.
- Maintain consistency in flavor and quality.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all food is prepared according to established recipes and standards.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Prepare meals on time, especially for breakfast and dinner.
- Handle multiple dishes simultaneously
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and professional development.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation, making adjustments as necessary.
- Handle customer feedback professionally to enhance the dining experience.
Experience
- Proven experience in the food service industry, preferably in a restaurant .
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
- Previous team management experience is highly desirable.
