Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting store operations, driving sales, and leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service. This position offers an opportunity to develop leadership skills within a fast-paced retail environment, contributing to the overall success and growth of the store.

Duties

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and sales strategies.
  • Lead and motivate staff to achieve sales goals while maintaining high standards of customer service.
  • Manage payroll, scheduling, and staffing needs, including recruiting and training new team members.
  • Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Oversee POS transactions, cash handling, and bookkeeping to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Implement pricing strategies and promotional activities aligned with marketing plans.
  • Supervise store cleanliness, organization, and safety protocols.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and support staff development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with purchasing teams to manage stock levels and product placement for optimal sales.
  • Utilize organizational skills to manage administrative tasks efficiently and effectively.

Experience

  • Proven supervisory or managerial experience in retail sales or store management.
  • Strong background in merchandising, sales management, and customer service.
  • Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and bookkeeping processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to train and develop team members.
  • Excellent communication skills, including negotiation, phone etiquette, and interpersonal interactions.
  • Multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
  • Skills in marketing, pricing strategies, budgeting, and administrative tasks are desirable.
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing tasks efficiently. This role requires a proactive leader with excellent organizational skills who is committed to delivering outstanding retail experiences while supporting store growth through effective team management and operational excellence.
