Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a cook. This role involves preparing and serving food in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling, meal preparation, and restaurant service, with a passion for delivering excellent dining experiences.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards
  • Serve customers efficiently and courteously in a fast-paced setting
  • Handle food with proper safety and hygiene practices to ensure compliance with health regulations
  • Assist in food presentation and plating to ensure visual appeal
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas, including sanitizing work surfaces and equipment
  • Follow all food safety protocols during meal preparation and service
  • Support team members during busy hours to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant
  • Restock supplies as needed to maintain inventory levels for efficient service

Skills

  • Experience in serving, food preparation, cooking, or food handling within a restaurant or food industry setting
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers
  • Kitchen experience including meal preparation and food presentation techniques
  • Familiarity with the principles of food industry best practices and customer service excellence
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in food quality
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities during busy service hours
