EXPERIENCED GRADEPERSON FOR CIVIL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY - Langley, BC

TAG Construction has been operating in the civil construction industry for over 38 years and we are looking for a Gradeperson to join our team. Starting hourly rate range from $38.00 to $42.00 per hour depending on experience. TAG offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including use of a company vehicle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Read and interpret construction plans

* Provide layout and guidance for civil construction crews

* Work from layout to set line and grade with high accuracy

* Be able to adjust and re-calculate as required in response to design changes

* Ensure projects are correct and to specifications

* Keep detailed field notes and as-built records

* Be able to assist the crew with various construction activities

* Promote a safe work environment and adhere to safety policies and work procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

* 2 years of experience in a similar role using survey tools such as GPS rovers, pipe lasers, slope lasers, lasers, theodolites, etc.

* Proficient in mathematics

* Able to handle high pressure situations and multitasking

* Attention to detail and excellent communication skills

* Possession of a valid driver's license

* Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in all types of weather and terrain

* Possess strong work ethic and positive team attitude

* Knowledge of Trimble GPS is an asset
