Eggs Canna Group is seeking a talented and enthusiastic accountant to be a key player in our Finance & Administration department. With our founders leading the way in forging municipal by-laws and growing our brand under the legal framework, we have established ourselves as a prominent force in the industry from day one.

As an integral member of our team, you will report directly to the Corporate Controller and be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks across multiple divisions. This role offers exposure to various aspects of our business, including support for all three divisions, providing you with ample opportunities for career advancement.

This is a hybrid role, 2 days WFH and 3 days in office, with periodic travel to our facilities located in Sechelt, BC, and the Cariboo Chilocotin area.

At Eggs Canna, we adhere to strict guidelines set by Health Canada, the Canada Revenue Agency, and LCRB. As a senior accountant, you will play a crucial role in reviewing, preparing, and filing reports to ensure compliance with these requirements.

What You'll Do:

  • Full cycle accounting, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, Expense reports
  • Oversee Retail Accounting (QuickBooks)
  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, month-end closing
  • Payroll oversight/preparation (biweekly and semi-monthly) and benefits tracking
  • Credit card transactions and reconciliations
  • Reconciliations (incl intercompany)
  • Support Operations & QA team as needed
  • Prepare & process government and regulatory reports
  • Period end GL rec's to support timely and accurate management reporting
  • General supplies ordering as needed (office and facility)
  • Ad hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • CPA designation (Canada)
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience with a Canadian Company
  • Personal vehicle and a valid BC driver's license, ability to travel within British Columbia.
