Appointment Coordinator / Cashier – Join the Bennett GM Service Team

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Bennett GM, Cambridge

Reports To: Service Manager

Salary: $37,000 per year + bonus commission structure

Bennett GM is looking for a professional, friendly, and detail-oriented Appointment Coordinator / Cashier to support our busy Service Department. You'll be the first point of contact for many of our customers, helping them book appointments, answering inquiries, and keeping our service workflow running smoothly. You will also support our front-line service operations by assisting with customer checkout and loaner vehicle coordination. Schedule
  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Alternating Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
Customer Interaction & Scheduling
  • Answer incoming calls, emails, and online inquiries to schedule service appointments.
  • Greet customers professionally and provide clear information about service offerings.
  • Confirm upcoming appointments and follow up on missed ones to reduce no-shows.
  • Coordinate with the service team to ensure efficient scheduling of technicians and service bays.
Administrative & Service Support
  • Maintain an organized appointment schedule and update customer records in the CRM system.
  • Assist in verifying warranty coverage and reviewing service history before appointments.
  • Communicate estimated wait times and provide timely updates to customers throughout their visit.
  • Work closely with service advisors and technicians to optimize appointment flow.
  • Assist with cashing out customers at the end of their service visit.
  • Support the coordination of loaner vehicles, including helping customers get into their loaners and ensuring proper documentation.
Customer Satisfaction & Retention
  • Conduct follow-up calls after service visits to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Address and document customer concerns, escalating to the Service Manager when needed.
  • Promote current service specials, maintenance packages, and GM Certified Service programs.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Previous experience in customer service, scheduling, or a dealership environment is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a busy setting.
  • Experience with DealerMine CRM is an asset.
  • Knowledge of automotive services or GM maintenance is an advantage.
  • Bilingual skills are an asset, but not required.
