Head of Investor Relations - Vancouver
Our client, a global leader in the industrial and energy sector, is seeking a highly strategic and financially astute Head of Investor Relations. This senior leadership role will be responsible for shaping and executing a world-class investor relations strategy that builds trust, enhances valuation, and strengthens access to global capital markets.
Reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with the CEO and executive leadership team, this role will serve as the primary spokesperson to the investment community, ensuring consistent, transparent, and compelling communication of the company's financial performance, strategic priorities, and long-term value creation story.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a global investor relations strategy that effectively communicates financial performance, corporate strategy, and growth initiatives to institutional investors and analysts.
- Monitor capital markets, industry trends, and peer performance to provide insight and recommendations to senior leadership and the Board.
- Lead quarterly earnings activities, including preparation of earnings releases, conference calls, scripts, and investor presentation materials.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective investors, analysts, and key financial stakeholders.
- Serve as a member of the company's Disclosure Committee, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency in all public communications.
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Sustainability, Operations, and Communications to ensure alignment of corporate messaging.
- Lead and develop a high-performing Investor Relations team, fostering excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline required; MBA, CPA, or CFA designation an asset.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in investor relations, equity research, investment banking, or corporate finance within a global, publicly traded environment.
- Deep understanding of capital markets, financial reporting, and disclosure practices.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, compelling messages.
- Proven experience building and maintaining strong relationships with institutional investors and analysts.
- Demonstrated leadership capability with a track record of developing teams and influencing executive-level stakeholders.
- High integrity, sound judgment, and strong business acumen with global perspective.
Compensation:
An executive-level compensation package will be offered, including competitive base salary, annual performance incentives, and long-term incentive eligibility.
