Requirements:

  • Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident to obtain Airport Security Clearance (RAIC).
  • RAIC holders and candidates with airport screening experience will be given preference.
  • Strong command of English (written and verbal).
  • Valid Provincial Security Guard License is required.
  • Valid Emergency First Aid & CPR Certification is required.
  • Must have access to a personal vehicle for commuting - this is a remote location not accessible by public transit.

Duties:

  • Monitoring and maintaining security protocols at designated locations.
  • Conducting regular patrols to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Observing and reporting any suspicious activity or security concerns.
  • Enforcing access control measures to prevent unauthorized entry.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and emergency procedures.
  • Conducting inspections and verifying security measures.
  • Assisting with crowd management and maintaining order as needed.
  • Responding to incidents, disturbances, or emergency situations promptly.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documenting observations in reports.
  • Staying alert and vigilant at all times.

Skills Required:

  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong observational and situational awareness.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professionalism at all times.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, stay calm, and multitask effectively under pressure.
  • Proficiency in using security technology and reporting tools.
  • Fluency in English (spoken, written, and reading comprehension).

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Clear criminal record and ability to pass extensive background screening.
  • Able to obtain Restricted Area Clearance (RAIC).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of standing, sitting, walking, and patrolling for extended periods (4–12 hours).
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.
  • Available to work rotational shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willing to work on-call as needed.
