Senior Project Manager

Overview

We are seeking an experienced
Project Manager
to support complex initiatives within an
Application Operations / Technology Operations
environment. This role operates in a high-volume, production-critical setting responsible for maintaining application stability, optimizing operational processes, and supporting enterprise-level transformations.

The Project Manager will work closely with directors, senior leadership, technology teams, and business partners to deliver projects that strengthen application operations, enhance resilience, streamline enterprise processes, and support organizational realignment efforts. This role requires strong operational awareness, governance discipline, and hands-on experience managing initiatives in environments where incident management, change management, recovery planning, and audit/security requirements are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Execution

• Lead end-to-end delivery of projects focused on operational stability, efficiency, compliance, and technology modernization.
• Manage full lifecycle project activities including scope, timelines, RAID management, resource planning, and dependency coordination.
• Deliver initiatives related to:
• Production stability and reliability
• Incident, problem, and change management process enhancements
• Performance and capacity optimization
• Security, audit, and compliance remediation
• Operational onboarding for newly aligned teams or applications
• Application transformation and modernization

Operational & Technology Alignment

• Support operational leadership in driving stability across production environments by aligning project outcomes with operational health objectives.
• Contribute to the enhancement of enterprise processes such as incident management, change governance, intake workflow design, time tracking systems, and operational budget controls.
• Participate in weekly operational review forums to ensure transparency, alignment, and prioritization of initiatives impacting production environments.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Management

• Build strong relationships with senior leaders, technology owners, engineering teams, and business stakeholders.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts across architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, operations, and vendor organizations.
• Support workforce and resource planning in collaboration with operational teams and HR partners.
• Manage vendor engagement and ensure delivery meets contractual obligations and enterprise standards.

Governance, Reporting & Compliance

• Maintain clear and accurate reporting including status dashboards, RAID logs, communication plans, and leadership presentations.
• Ensure all project activities meet regulatory, audit, and security requirements.
• Support disaster recovery planning, testing cycles, and resilience-related remediation work.
• Ensure all documentation, artifacts, and governance deliverables meet internal audit and enterprise standards.

Operational Integration & Change Management

• Lead projects involving the integration, restructuring, or onboarding of new teams, applications, or functions into enterprise technology operations.
• Manage organizational and operational change with a strong focus on communication, people impact, and minimal disruption to production support.
• Support training, knowledge transfers, and operational readiness planning for all impacted teams.

Required Experience & Skills

• 7+ years
  of project management experience in enterprise technology or financial services.
• Strong understanding of
  application operations, production support, and IT service management
  (ITIL/TSM).
• Experience managing initiatives related to:
• Incident/Problem/Change Management
• Application performance and capacity
• Operational resiliency and recovery management
• Audit remediation and security controls
• Organizational or operational realignment
• Ability to lead and coordinate diverse technical teams across multiple domains.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues and drive structured solutions.
• Proficiency with project tools such as MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Clarity, or ServiceNow.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience supporting high-volume production applications or mission-critical operational environments.
• Background in enterprise operational transformation or technology modernization.
• Certifications:
  PMP, PMI-ACP, ITIL v4
  , or equivalent.
• Experience with application modernization, automation, or workflow optimization.
