Director of Product

Bold ideas need dependable infrastructure and people who can build and maintain it.
At Qu, we run sovereign, in-country infrastructure, data centres, cloud, and managed services, so Canada's builders and innovators can move fast without trading away control. Your work will help keep data close to home, accelerate teams, and scale growth for the builders and dreamers who rely on us.
We're building for decades, backed by InfraRed Capital Partners and Sun Life. We're small by design, 120 people, so your voice carries and your impact shows. You'll work on real problems that matter: to take the routine and the complex off our customers' plates so they can focus on what they need to grow.
If you want your best work to power someone else's moonshot, this is your place. Quiet power, built for the builders and the dreamers. We're Qu.Role Overview
The Director of Product will lead the development, management, and evolution of Qu's data centre and cloud products to ensure they meet market demand and deliver a best-in-class customer experience. This is a highly strategic role that will shape Qu's product portfolio during a pivotal period of growth.
You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Engineering, Finance, and IT to translate market opportunities and customer needs into commercially viable offerings that drive revenue growth and strengthen Qu's competitive position.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Develop and maintain Qu's product strategy and multi-year roadmap across colocation, cloud services, managed services, and emerging offerings.
- Identify opportunities for hybrid cloud, edge computing, and other value-added services that leverage Qu's data centre footprint.
- Develop a go-to-market approach for wholesale and large customer colocation, including leasing models, power pass-through, and build-to-suit
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to guide innovation and differentiation.
- Partner with executive leadership to prioritize initiatives that align with Qu's growth objectives and capital investment plans.
Product Development & Management
- Lead end-to-end product lifecycle management — from concept, business case, and pricing, through launch, adoption, and sunset.
- Define product requirements and collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and IT to ensure solutions are technically feasible, scalable, and secure.
- Work closely with Sales & Marketing to develop compelling value propositions, collateral, and go-to-market strategies for both data centre and cloud offerings.
Financial & Commercial Ownership
- Build business cases for new products, including cloud solutions, with revenue forecasts, ROI analysis, and pricing models.
- Monitor product performance (revenue, margin, utilization) and adjust offerings to maximize profitability.
- Involvement in deal-level pricing, profitability, and returns analyses
Leadership & Collaboration
- Serve as the voice of the customer within Qu, advocating for features and solutions that improve the overall experience.
- Provide thought leadership on industry trends — including cloud adoption, multi-cloud orchestration, AI, sustainability, and compliance — to position Qu as an industry leader.
- Mentor and build a high-performing product team as the business scales.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of product management experience, ideally in data centres, cloud services, or enterprise technology.
- Proven track record developing and launching successful cloud or hybrid cloud offerings.
- Strong commercial acumen — able to build financial models, set pricing strategies, and make data-driven decisions.
- Prior experience in business case development, particularly in large construction projects
- Exposure to energy/power markets an asset
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and experience working with technical, sales, and executive teams.
- Good understanding of AI market including GPUs, training and inference use cases
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach — comfortable operating in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
Why Join Qu
- Be part of a once-in-a-career opportunity to shape Canada's newest independent and data sovereign data centre and cloud services platform.
- Work with a passionate leadership team committed to building a high-performing, customer-centric culture.
- Competitive compensation, benefits, and significant opportunity for career growth as the company expands its product suite.
