Steel Erection Foreman – Pre-Fab Steel Building (Jan–Feb Project)

KNGC Ltd. – Ottawa, ON

50 hrs/week

KNGC Ltd. is looking for an experienced Steel Erection Foreman to lead a pre-engineered steel building erection this January–February. You'll run a small 3–5 person crew and drive the full build from start to finish.

This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and requires someone who knows how to erect steel the right way — safely, efficiently, and to spec.

What You'll Do

  • Lead daily site operations for the steel building erection
  • Run a 3–5 person crew and keep production moving
  • Direct crane picks, rigging, and equipment
  • Install steel framing, purlins, girts, roof/wall panels, and bracing
  • Ensure alignment, bolt-up, torqueing, and proper connections
  • Read and work from steel shop drawings
  • Maintain site safety and documentation
  • Work hands-on when needed

What You Need

  • Solid experience erecting pre-engineered/pre-fab steel buildings
  • Leadership experience as a Foreman, Lead Hand, or similar
  • Able to work at heights and in winter conditions
  • Strong understanding of steel sequencing and crane coordination
  • Can read drawings and follow specs
  • Valid G licence
  • Assets: Working at Heights, Fall Arrest, WHMIS, First Aid, rigging
