Make an impact with our Corporate Finance team as a Vice President. Responsibilities

  • Lead mid-market M&A financial due diligence engagements end-to-end, including planning, timelines, and client communication.
  • Serve as a trusted right-hand to the partner, taking ownership of engagements and supporting practice growth.
  • Grow with the business, taking on increasing responsibility as the due diligence practice expands.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis, including quality of earnings, sustainability of EBITDA, working capital, net debt, and forecasted/projected income statements.
  • Identify and communicate key risks or considerations impacting the client's business, including SPA clauses, post-transaction factors, industry-specific issues, and macroeconomic trends.
  • Proactively leverage AI, technology tools, and market insights to enhance deliverables and improve engagement efficiency.
  • Support business development through proposal preparation, engagement letters, and networking within the local business community.
  • Coordinate with other due diligence teams (TDD, ODD, CDD, HRDD) to ensure smooth information flow and alignment across all deliverables.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of associates, fostering capability, accountability, and a high-performing, collaborative, and fun team culture.
  • Maintain an organized and methodical approach to work, ensuring administrative documentation, safeguards, and project updates are handled accurately and communicated regularly to the partner.

Skills And Experience

  • CPA designation required; CBV, CFA, or ACCA credentials considered an asset.
  • Master's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is considered an asset.
  • 6+ years of professional services experience, including at least 3 years in Transaction Advisory / Financial Due Diligence.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS, ASPE, and/or US GAAP.
  • Extensive experience in financial analysis and modeling
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, delegation, and managing timelines and client expectations.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented, and positive attitude with the ability to foster a fun and high-performing work environment.
  • Willingness to work outside regular hours and travel as required.
