Job Description
The Operations Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Operations team in managing the day-to-day operations of Industrial Security Limited (ISL), ensuring consistent service delivery, team coordination, and operational readiness. This role supports the Assistant Operations Manager and acts as a key liaison between field teams and leadership, with a strong emphasis on flexibility, communication, and operational oversight.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of ISL security teams throughout the business.
- Provide updates and reports to the Assistant Operations Manager.
- Ensure coverage for vacant shifts, vehicle transfers, and emergency duties.
- Coordinate Duty Supervisor tasks and serve as a coach and mentor (may be required for backup as a last resort).
- Manage, schedule and organize all security requests, special events via an organized structured approach and ensure proper billing is completed.
- Confirm and respond to all security-related requests.
- Support training activities including organizing all accommodation and operational needs
- Manage Drug and Alcohol Program
- Oversee safety reporting and conduct building inspections along with managing Joint Health and Safety program.
- Provide support to ISL training program.
Qualifications
- Post Secondary education with preferred training in law enforcement, Security or Military
- 5 to 8 years of law enforcement, security or military experience
- 5 to 8 years of operational knowledge with training background considered an asset
- Ability to adapt to evolving security needs and operational demands
- Ability to work in a 24x7 environment
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism, confidentiality and relatability along with effective communication
