Responsibilities
  • Creates a plan and schedule for cycle counting of parts and take ownership of annual cycle counting
  • Reconciling parts in CMMS quantities against physical inventory counts
  • Updates CMMS counts based on cycle counting and annual count
  • Create new parts entries in CMMS
  • Create Min/Max and reordering levels for parts in CMMS, based on historical use and lead times
  • Works with maintenance planner to order and kit parts for downday maintenance and annual overhaul of the lines
  • Submits requisitions for parts approval to maintenance supervisor and manager
  • Sends PO to vendors once requisition is approved by maintenance supervisor and manager
  • Tracks parts received against PO issued
  • Advises invoicing clerk when all parts / services are received against a PO so the invoice can be processed
  • Maintains accurate tracking of all POs issued every period and of open requisitions
  • Maintains accurate tracking of PO issued against the invoices submitted every period
  • Work closely with the maintenance team to place orders and schedule work
  • Receive invoices and track spending against monthly maintenance/manufacturing budget
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Other tasks as directed by the supervisor
Qualifications
  • Strong technical / Mechanical background to be able to work with maintenance technicians and vendors to order necessary parts
  • Good computer skills and knowledge
  • Previous experience with Infor, SAP, MS Office, MS Excel will be an asset but not a requirement
  • Demonstrate a high level of autonomy (ability to work under minimal supervision)
  • Great organization skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others
  • Ability to follow written procedures for existing processes and equipment
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and high level of dedication
  • Have a positive attitude and attention to details
  • Ability to write, understand and speak English fluently
  • Able to demonstrate an aptitude in writing and mathematics to complete paperwork accurately and legibly
