Method Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Method Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining engine maintenance and component repair processes to ensure efficient and high-quality execution. You will collaborate closely with engineering, maintenance, supply chain, quality, and continuous improvement teams to implement best practices and drive operational excellence.
  • Analyze and define manufacturing methods and workflows for maintenance and repair capabilities (new and existing).
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation including work instructions, process sheets, parts, and tooling requirements.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering and supply chain teams to ensure effective methods are developed and implemented.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies.
  • Support the introduction of new technologies, equipment, and automation into production.
  • Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, and root cause investigations for production issues.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and customer requirements.
  • Participate in PFMEA, control plans, and risk assessments.
  • Provide technical support to maintenance teams and train operators on new processes.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, aerospace engineering or related field; alternatively, a certified AME with equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a methods engineering role, preferably in aerospace.
  • Experience in aircraft engine maintenance or component repair preferable.
  • Strong knowledge of processes such as machining, assembly, composites, or sheet metal.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
  • Bilingual (French/English) is an asset.

Security Clearance Requirements/ CGP / ITAR:

Position requires Level II Clearance with the Canadian Government and the ability to gain access to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program
