The 12-member elected Board of Directors provides governance, develops long-term strategic plans, and ensures that student perspectives are included in key decisions. Because Directors are chosen by the student body, a fair and transparent election process is essential to the SSUI's ability to represent students effectively.

  • Receive, document, and securely maintain complaints or concerns regarding election conduct, ensuring confidentiality and sharing sensitive information only with the CRO or other authorized DROs.
  • Monitor election activities, both on-campus and online, to ensure compliance with SSUI Election Policies; document and report observations to the CRO.
  • Assist in investigations of alleged policy violations by gathering information from involved parties and reporting findings to the CRO.
  • Collaborate with other DROs to ensure continuity of election-related tasks and support smooth operations throughout the election period.
  • Treat all candidates fairly and impartially; disclose any real or perceived conflicts of interest to the CRO.
  • Perform additional election-related duties as assigned by the CRO.
