Workday Absence

The Workday Absence & Time Tracking Consulting Services Manager should be a "go to" practice leader, expected to provide expert guidance to the Consulting management team and their subsequent project team members. You will "bridge the gap" between the business and technical teams by solving complex Workday intersystem problems. You will guide clients through the transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday implementation. This individual will assist the sales team with sales activities, such as orals, estimations, and Statements of Work (SOWs). This person works closely with Engagement Managers, Project Managers, Managing Consultants, and leads, and acts as a liaison between the Consulting team and executive management. This person will assist in identifying business needs, and ensuring that the work/life balance of our consultants is monitored and adjusted appropriately.

Responsibilities:

• Helps others by driving, organizing and completing tasks within a project workstream to drive efficient completion and achieve project goals.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in Workday Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking or Scheduling, by supporting internal initiatives and team knowledge sharing activities.

Project Oversight:

• Oversight responsibility for Workday projects across the practice. Oversee and assist engagement/project managers and team members when needed to identify project needs, reduce risk and develop solutions and strategies.

Sales Support:

• Support the RFP response and pursuit process for Consulting work.
• Support orals.

Project Work:

• Guide the customer through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and an understanding of the customer's unique business requirements at all stages of the project.
• Regularly engage and support the client through all phases of the project, ensuring a smooth transfer from legacy systems to the Workday HCM solution.
• Perform multiple tasks under limited direction, while regularly keeping the client, your project team, and your Engagement Manager abreast of changes or progress related to the project.
• Willingness to take a leadership position on a project, or as a Cognizant or Workday product Partner Lead and/or Delivery Assurance Reviewer.
• Display your hands-on expertise of the software, moving configuration from tenant to tenant, and configuring business processes and security.
• Utilize your technical aptitude to convert and map data sources into data conversion templates.
• Act as a mentor to fellow consultants and analysts, including providing support for shadow assignments.

Skills & Requirements:

• Possess 3-5 years of Workday Absence & Time Tracking Consulting implementation experience.
• Workday Absence and/or Time Tracking certification(s) required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Required characteristics: fast learner, detail oriented, decisive, and enjoy fast paced work environments.
• Must work well within and across teams to get things accomplished.
• Possess sales engagement experience estimating and presenting to prospects.
• Minimal travel required, but must be willing to travel on-site if needed .
