Legal Counsel Contrats Specialist - Energy and Infrastructure

Located in Montreal, our business partner is a well-established private company with over 3,500 employees, recognized for its reputation and success in its field. The company is currently seeking a Legal Counsel specializing in contracts, with between five (5) and eight (8) years of experience.

A flexible hybrid work model is offered, allowing you to work from home or from one of the offices located across Canada.

What you'll do:

  • Review contracts related to professional services, identify legal issues, and collaborate with project teams to develop tailored solutions;

  • Stay up to date on laws and regulations that may impact the projects under your responsibility;

  • Analyze the scope of mandates and commercial terms, assess risks, and provide well-informed recommendations;

  • Participate in contract negotiations with clients and help shape legal strategies;

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of tools, processes, and contract templates.

What you bring:

  • At least five (5) years of experience in commercial and contract law, ideally in a professional services, design, project management, or construction law environment;

  • Law degree and membership in good standing with the Barreau du Québec or another Canadian provincial bar. A background in engineering is considered a strong asset;

  • Solid understanding of the lifecycle of professional services contracts and the ability to anticipate legal risks.
