Compensation: $120,000–$195,000 (pro-rated for part-time)
Talent Renew has partnered with a leading boutique Labour & Employment law firm seeking talented Associates to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for ambitious lawyers with 1–7 years of experience in labour, employment, or litigation to work closely with senior partners in a collaborative and high-performing environment.
About the RoleAs an Associate, you will work directly with the firm's partners on a variety of challenging matters across the entire labour and employment spectrum. You will be involved in hearings, tribunals, workplace investigations, restrictive covenant disputes, trade secret cases, and wrongful dismissal claims. This role offers exposure to a wide variety of clients and industries and the opportunity to develop specialized expertise while receiving mentorship from experienced partners.
Responsibilities:- Work directly with partners on complex labour and employment matters
- Participate in hearings before courts and tribunals
- Conduct legal research, drafting, and analysis for litigation and advisory work
- Provide practical and strategic advice to clients across various industries
- Engage in professional development and in-house training seminars
- Mentor and collaborate with junior team members as needed
- Manage client files efficiently and maintain exceptional standards of documentation
- 1–3 years or 4–7 years of labour and/or employment law experience, or equivalent litigation/administrative law experience
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
- Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and client service skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a boutique firm environment
- Interest in participating in tribunal and court hearings
- Flexibility for full-time or part-time arrangements, including research-focused opportunities
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Competitive salary: $120,000–$195,000, depending on experience, pro-rated for part-time positions
