Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing front desk operations with efficiency and compassion. This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with dental office procedures, and proficiency in electronic health records systems. Prior experience in dental or medical office environments is an asset but not required
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using DomX software
- Manage multi-line phone systems to handle inquiries, appointment requests, and patient communications
- Verify insurance information and process patient check-ins and check-outs
- Maintain accurate records using electronic medical records systems such as Epic
- Collect payments, co-pays, and outstanding balances efficiently and accurately
- Prepare and organize patient files for upcoming appointments
- Assist with administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and correspondence
- Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
- Collaborate with dental staff to facilitate smooth office workflow
Skills
- Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar front desk role within a dental or medical office setting
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and office procedures
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—along with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently under pressure
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing schedules and records
- Familiarity with medical office experience is a plus; experience with administrative tasks in healthcare settings is preferred
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented attitude
- Knowledge of insurance verification processes and billing procedures is advantageous
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.11-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
