The Role
This is a unique opportunity for a strategic and adaptable accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. The Senior Accounting Manager will be a key strategic contributor, reporting directly to the Senior Director.This role is perfect for someone who enjoys tackling new challenges and is not afraid to dig into the details. You will be responsible for a variety of special projects, including contributing to accounting requirements for the company's mergers & acquisition activity, ERP optimization and implementation, SOX compliance, and process transformation leveraging artificial intelligence. This is not a routine, month-end close role; it is a role for a problem-solver who is passionate about making a real impact. Key Responsibilities Lead strategic projects from start to completion, including selection, procuring and overseeing the full lifecycle of major initiatives like ERP optimization and upgrades. This includes developing project plans, managing timelines and successful integration with our existing processes. Ensure any changes to our ERPERP are configured to integrate with our overall automation and AI strategies. You will be a key contributor to the exploration and development of these initiatives. Spearhead process transformation and efficiency initiatives by identifying opportunities for automation and improvement in the Accounting organization. Evaluate current workflows, leveraging emerging technologies to streamline operations. Play a key role in SOX compliance initiatives by leading the design and implementation of new controls, ensuring ongoing compliance and managing related documentation. Assist with and contribute to financial reporting and accounting processes. Provide support for M&A activities, as needed, including integration of the acquired entities into our financial systems and processes. Contribute to data governance initiatives, ensuring the integrity and security of financial data across all systems. Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in accounting and technology, including AI, identifying opportunities to adopt within the accounting and wider finance function. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals, acting as the key liaison between the Accounting organization and other business units. Who You Are CPA designation is required Proven experience in a senior accounting role, with a focus on special projects. Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting processes. Experience with ERP systems (*NetSuite preferred*). Audit or assurance experience is a plus. M&A experience is a plus. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A keen interest in AI and process transformation. Bonus Points Direct experience with NetSuite and other ERP implementations. A history of leading successful process automation projects from start to finish Demonstrated interest or experience in AI/ML solutions to solve problems. Strong project management skills.
