Entuitive is looking for a Senior Building Envelope Specialist, based in our Vancouver office that will focus on existing buildings projects. What will you do?
- Work within the realm of building envelope consulting for existing buildings, such as design, tender, construction review, and contract administration for existing building repair/restoration/renewal projects.
- Building envelope condition assessments and forensic investigations, including quantity takeoffs, budget estimates, and report writing.
- Write specifications for existing building projects.
- Work with Entuitive's BIM team to develop drawings and details for existing building projects.
- Review of submittals and shop drawings during construction.
- Field review and contract administrative duties as required.
- Assist with research of new products and systems.
- Write reports related to field work and research.
- Computer aided analysis of building envelope details and performance (training will be provided if needed).
- Provide technical expertise and guidance leading small to large scale projects through effective project management, team leadership, coordination, and participation in the delivery of projects thus ensuring a high level of service.
- Implement and adhere to Entuitive's quality assurance programs to ensure that services meet Entuitive's standards and our client's expectations.
- Internal roles in the ongoing development our technical standards and design tools.
- Work collaboratively with property managers, building owners, municipal government representatives, nonprofit organizations, and other consulting firms, tailoring our deliverables to meet their unique requirements and objectives.
- Develop business development skills to continue existing client relationships and build new ones.
What do you need to succeed?
- Minimum 7 years' work experience in building envelope consulting and restoration, with a focus on prime consulting for existing building projects.
- Bachelor's degree in building science, engineering, or architecture; or equivalent training.
- Registration as a P.Eng. or P.L.Eng. or eligibility for registration is considered an asset.
- Registered Roof Observer (RRO) designation is considered an asset.
- Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. and Bluebeam (or another PDF mark-up tool).
- Excellent English language communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to manage complex situations with multiple stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently with minimal supervision when needed but also enjoy collaboration and working as a team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deliverables on an ongoing basis.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and always willing to learn and improve.
- Strong leadership and project management skills with ability to manage scope, schedule and budget.
- Must be comfortable and willing to work at heights, including accessing sloped roofs, ladders, boom lifts, scissor lifts, swing stages, and scaffolding.
- Must have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle and maintain throughout employment.

Compensation
The range for this position is between $80,000 to $115,000 annually and based upon experience, qualifications, location, and education. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the British Columbia Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful British Columbia applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in British Columbia or perform the position from British Columbia.
How does collaboration happen?
All positions require in-office presence 3 days a week. Building strong relationships and collaborating internally is important to us Collaborate virtually for the remainder of the week.
