Available Position: Service Advisor

MacKay's Truck & Trailer Center is growing, and we are currently seeking a permanent full-time Service Advisor to join our team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

MacKay's is a well-established family-owned business with over 40 years experience operating full-line Truck, Trailer & Compact Equipment dealerships, with locations in Truro & Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, as well as Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island and Moncton, New Brunswick. As a Service Advisor, you will collaborate closely with the Service Department to manage customer needs while balancing the demands of the company in a deadline-driven atmosphere. Your role will be crucial in driving profitable service volume while ensuring the highest level of service quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional service to customers, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and cultivate new business opportunities.
  • Work with the Service Department to ensure customer expectations and company goals are balanced and met in a timely manner.
  • Continuously work to develop expertise in our products and services to better serve customers.
  • Achieve service volume and quality targets to contribute to the overall success of the company.

Requirements:

  • Strong ability to develop deep product and service knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Proactive and capable of learning new skills quickly; previous computer experience is an asset.
  • Experience in the trucking industry is preferred, especially within a Service Department.
