We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our dynamic team at AutoCanada. We are looking for an individual with a passion for data analysis, process improvement, and a desire to gain a keen understanding of the automotive industry. What you will do

  1. Process Mapping and Business Needs Assessment:
    • Document existing business processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
    • Conduct requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to understand business needs and expectations.
    • Coordinate with business stakeholders to define desired business outcomes to recommend and deliver appropriate data solutions (reports, spreadsheets, dashboards).
    • Ensure that proposed data solutions align with business objectives and are reflected in updated process documentation.
  2. Business Process Improvement:
    • Evaluate current business processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements and optimize operational performance.
  3. Analytics Enablement
    • Develop communication and training plans for new and existing Tableau dashboards and information products
    • Coach users on use and functionality of Tableau dashboards
    • Steward and administer Tableau Portal
    • Administration of Tableau user groups and project folders
  4. Reporting & Evaluation:
    • Generate comprehensive reports and dashboards to present findings to stakeholders.
    • Assess the impact of new programs, products, and initiatives, providing valuable insights for improvement and support organizational decision-making.

What you bring to the table:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 0 to 3 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst, preference given to automotive industry experience.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in data analysis tools and techniques; experience with BI (Business Intelligence) tools (Tableau) is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborative Approach: Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently as needed.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with automotive industry trends, regulations, and best practices would be an asset.
