Job Overview

Kids3 Daycare Lacombe is a new childcare center in Lacombe, dedicated to nurturing children's growth through the Reggio Emilia approach and Emergent Curriculum. Our mission is to create a supportive and engaging environment for children aged 0-12 years, fostering collaboration among staff, parents, and the community.

Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Child Care Director to join our team at Kids3 Daycare in Lacombe. This permanent full-time position plays a vital role in managing our childcare services in accordance with 'The Child Care Act' and regulations, ensuring quality care and development for our children.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the daycare center while ensuring compliance with licensing regulations.
  • Manage and support a team of approximately 20-22 permanent staff members.
  • Act as a liaison between staff, parents, and the community to foster positive relationships.
  • Plan and implement engaging activities that promote children's developmental growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and communicate effectively with parents.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in our care.
  • Conduct regular assessments of children's developmental levels.
  • Uphold accreditation standards and maintain daycare supplies and equipment.
  • Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
  • At least three years of experience in a childcare setting, preferably as a Director.
  • First Aid/CPR certification is required.
  • Strong leadership skills with an emphasis on teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
  • Criminal record check with vulnerable sector search prior to start date.
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations related to childcare.
