Job Overview

We have full time and part time positions available.

(20 to 40 Hours per week)

Night Shift- Work begins in late evening and goes until early morning.

Day Shift- Work begins in early in the morning and goes until mid afternoon.

Shifts range from 6 hours to 16 hours.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Snow Removal Technician/Labourer to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining safe and accessible properties during winter weather conditions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, ability to work in cold weather conditions, mechanical knowledge and experience in operating various types of machinery, including snow blowers, backpack blowers, shovels, ice scrapers. This position requires a commitment to safety and efficiency while ensuring the highest standards of service.

Duties

  • Operate a company vehicle, using snow blowers, backpack blowers, shovels to clear snow and ice from driveways, sidewalks, and other designated areas.
  • Perform routine maintenance on snow plow equipment, including checking fluid levels, changing filters, and conducting minor repairs.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools for maintenance tasks as needed. Lifting, bending, and moving 20kg weight multiple times throughout shift.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop effective snow removal strategies based on weather forecasts and road conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations while operating machinery in adverse weather conditions.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including hours worked and materials used.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Snow Removal Technician/Labourer or in a similar role within construction or landscape maintenance environments.
  • Familiarity with operating snow blowers/small engines and other equipment/tools is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools for maintenance tasks.
  • Experience driving a truck and trailer is an asset.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary and clean drivers abstract is required.
