Position: Dispatcher
Location: Abbotsford, BC
Job Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule transportation routes for temperature-controlled loads.
- Ensure timely communication with drivers and provide clear instructions for pick-ups and deliveries.
- Update customers on shipment statuses and address any inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Monitor and manage transportation schedules to optimize efficiency and meet client deadlines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or delays during transportation.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and shipment details.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 year of dispatching experience in a trucking company specializing in reefers.
- Strong understanding of temperature-controlled transportation requirements.
- Excellent communication skills to update and liaise with customers effectively.
- Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations with composure.
- Proficiency in using dispatch software and other relevant tools.
