Welder / Fabricator – Full-Time, Permanent

Location: Burlington, ON

Compensation: $25–$35 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Day Shift (6:00am–2:00pm or 8:00am–4:00pm, Monday–Friday) — flexibility required to cover night shifts as needed.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join their team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys custom fabrication work and supporting high-precision manufacturing projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and weld custom components such as machine guards, brackets, frames, and supports.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Perform MIG, TIG, and arc welding operations safely and effectively.
  • Carry out cutting, grinding, fitting, and finishing tasks as required.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to support equipment modifications, upgrades, and general plant improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors to prioritize work orders and ensure project timelines are met.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all company and safety protocols.
  • Assist with light mechanical work and forklift operation as needed.

Qualifications

  • Welding certification or completion of an equivalent apprenticeship/training program.
  • Minimum 2 years of welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience using MIG, TIG, and/or arc welding techniques.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with fabrication tools and equipment.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
