Company Description

Windsor Medical Clinic is seeking a family physician to join the practice. The clinic's regular schedule operates Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.  A full staff which includes 1 full time office admin and a family practice nurse.  There are no evening, weekend or on call hours. 

Job Description

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures;

  • Advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
  • Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners
  • Act as a patient's advocate
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
  • Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements

part-time and full-time

Qualifications
  • All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
  • All family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
  • Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
