Job Description
The Warehouse Attendant is responsible to ensure efficient processes and maximize warehouse productivity. Responsibilities include picking items to be filled in production, helping to coordinate logistical operations for contract manufacturing clients' shipments, and assisting with the Shipping/Receiving for Petra shipments and related incoming emails. This component (Petra Fitness Orders, Systems, Emails) of oversight/support will be provided by the Warehouse/Inventory Manager. Below is a list of duties and responsibilities you may be required to assist with.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Using scanners to pick/put away items to/from bin locations.
- Operation of forklift, hand truck, or other equipment to load and store goods
- Basic computer skills to ship orders, receive, and respond to emails, receive and inbound shipments.
- Utilize shipping applications such as UPS & DHL
- Daily interfacing with internal business system / ERP software
- Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations
- Reviewing orders to be sent out, incoming shipments, and inventory locations for accuracy.
- Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching, and assuring the quality of goods
- Helping to organize and maintain the warehouse. This includes scanning packaging/parts back into their bin locations.
- Ensure shipments' and inventory transactions' accuracy
- Assisting QC when packaging arrives to unpack, separate, label, and then put the new packaging away.
- Maintain item records, document necessary information, and utilize reports to project warehouse status
- Perform other related duties assigned by Management
Shipper/Receiver
Goal: Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through consistent work ethic, exceptional accountability to the WH Supervisor, and excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching, and assuring quality of goods.
Main Responsibility: Assist Warehouse Supervisor with all that is requested/required. This includes but is not limited to:
- Preparing and assembling orders for shipment, affixing proper identifying information based on shipping instructions
- Coordinating other non-stock shipments
- Lending support to inside/outside sales staff
- Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and proper storage of goods
- Picking orders for assembly technicians
- Verifying packing slips to purchase orders
- Helping to conduct monthly cycle counts for inventory
- Final testing and shipping of product
- Ensuring accurate inventory counts and product movement
- Organize and maintain inventory and storage area
- Ensure shipments' and inventory transactions' accuracy
- Interface with internal colleagues via email to answer questions or solve problems
- Other duties as assigned by the Management
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
- Must be forklift certified
- Full-time opportunity
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 40 Ibs) as required by the role.
- Have developed strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management, gained through work experience
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and lift or move heavy equipment
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and balance the immediate and long-term needs of the business
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
- Keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality
- Familiarity with GMP, ISO, or similar quality standards is an advantage
