Position Overview

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented
Cylindrical Grinding Machine Operator
to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a legacy facility where precision and pride in workmanship are paramount. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn specialized grinding techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor grinding machines and related equipment
  • Perform setup, calibration, and adjustments based on job specifications
  • Inspect finished parts for quality and dimensional accuracy
  • Maintain equipment and follow safety protocols
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and work orders
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
  • Assist with other machining processes as needed (e.g., milling, jig grinding, lathe work)

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Familiarity with grinding, milling, lathe, or jig grinding is an asset
  • Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools (micrometers, calipers)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Physically fit and able to stand for long periods
  • Willingness to learn and grow within a skilled trade environment
