Due to new business and increased client demand, we are looking to hire a Recruitment Associate to join the team. In this role, you will manage recruitment pipelines, source candidates, build relationships with industry professionals and contribute to our continued growth as a business.
As the first hire for Catalyst, your role will be focused on candidate recruitment and placements with the opportunity for growth into client management and recruitment/hiring strategy.
Our primary recruitment practice area is Marketing & Communications, and you will have the opportunity to develop expertise and a network within this space. Communications has had a fundamental shift in how the function is viewed within organizations during the Pandemic and the demand for hiring is great. We work on retained search mandates from mid to senior and executive to C Suite level, so you will have the opportunity to support the hiring and placements of candidates from peers to senior business leaders within the industry.
This is a fast-paced environment that requires an organized and detail-oriented person. A background in an Admin role or experience within the marketing or communications industry is an asset.

Responsibilities:
First 3 months:
Partner with Recruitment Lead to fill roles based on client requisitionsBegin to learn the industry landscape / develop networkDevelop long lists of candidates as per the search mandateActively hunt for passive candidates using online databases and social mediaWrite attractive job descriptions and assist in managing job postings for roles you are assigned to fillJoin Recruitment Lead on client briefings, candidate pre screenings and interviewsStart to manage projects including scheduling, updating ATS and database, moving and exiting candidates from the process, completing referencesAssist with phone screens and candidate interviews, presenting qualified candidates to the Recruitment LeadAfter 3 months:
Involved in end-to-end recruitment process from briefing to offer stage and closeUnderstand the industry landscape and have begun to develop a network of candidatesProject management of the hiring process including scheduling interviews, getting & delivering feedback, moving candidates through the process, updating ATSActively recruit and continue to develop pipeline of candidates for any roles you are working onBring ideas to the table, think outside the box and find ways to attract best-in-class talent for our clientsInvolved in new business brainstorms and pitchesConducting searches on LinkedIn for candidatesQualifying candidates over the phoneWriting candidate profiles to present to clientsCoordinating and facilitating interview processesCreating detailed Opportunity Specs for new searchesResearching the latest trends in communications, PR and marketingRequirements:
Exceptional communication skills, spoken and writtenOrganized with excellent attention to detailAmbitious, dedicated and hard-workingAutonomous and entrepreneurialAble to manage multiple simultaneous processesStrong prioritisation and time management skillsResilient and resourcefulDemonstrated interest in communications, marketing or advertisingPrior experience in recruitment and PR & communications is an asset.
