Overview
We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and a passion for restoring vehicles to their original condition. This position requires mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. As an Auto Body Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality repairs and attention to detail.
Duties
- Assess damaged vehicles and determine the necessary repairs.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform bodywork, including welding, sanding, and painting.
- Replace or repair damaged parts such as bumpers, fenders, and doors.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to shop protocols.
- Collaborate with other technicians and staff to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in automotive technology.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Auto Body Technician or similar role in automotive repair.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs.
- Experience working in a dealership environment is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
