About the Role:

As a Financial Reporting Support Consultant at Rocscience Inc., you will play a key role in supporting the finance and business operations teams by ensuring accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to maintain reporting systems, automate workflows, and provide analytical support that drives strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance financial reports and dashboards using tools like Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar).
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes by preparing reconciliations, variance analyses, and management reports.
  • Collaborate with software development and sales teams to align financial reporting with business performance metrics.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling activities.
  • Troubleshoot reporting issues and provide end-user support for financial systems.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across financial systems and reports.
  • Document reporting processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in financial reporting, FP&A, or accounting support roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, macros) and experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in a SaaS or software development environment.
  • Knowledge of SQL or scripting for data extraction and transformation.
  • CPA designation or progress toward it is an asset.

  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial databases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex data clearly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a SaaS or software development company.
  • CPA designation or progress toward it.
  • Familiarity with SQL or data querying tools.
