Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapist and Physiotherapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and a passion for helping individuals recover from injuries and improve their physical health. This role requires expertise in medical terminology and the ability to work effectively in a private practice setting with a wide variety of injuries and diagnoses.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions and needs.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to enhance mobility, alleviate pain and client-centered goal setting.
  • Utilize various therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise therapy, and modalities to promote recovery.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment options, exercises, and self-care strategies.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, treatments, and progress notes in accordance with medical standards.
  • Experience
  • Previous experience in a private practice is preferred however not necessary and training and mentoring is available.
  • Experience working with a diverse age group
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication within the healthcare team.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating independence in clinical decision-making. Physiotherapist Assistant:

Assist with implementing treatment plans from the physiotherapists including exercise POC, modalities and documentation.

Other duties unclude: Assist with scheduling, emails, phone calls, prepare treatment areas, light cleaning and laundry.
