We're looking for an experienced
Digital Ad Manager
to support our team on a freelance basis. Our ideal candidate will have thorough experience working with major ad platforms and the ability to structure, manage and optimize campaigns and budgets effectively.

This role is ideal for someone with a few years of experience in a creative or marketing agency, or who has been freelancing for 6+ years.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Contributing to project requirements and launch timelines
  • Creating, managing, and reporting on campaigns across digital marketing platforms including Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Microsoft Ads.
  • Adhering to Brandish nomenclature for campaigns, ad groups, and ads follow our tracking templates
  • Monitoring and/or adjusting daily budgets of ad campaigns across platforms to ensure our client's spends pace toward their monthly target
  • Keeping Brandish team members and clients informed of change history, and overall performance.
  • Distilling complicated information into high level explanations and reports that Brandish team members and clients can easily understand.
  • Making decisions and recommendations for how to improve or drive performance

Who you'll work with

  • Dan Nicholson, our Director, Digital Performance & Growth.
    Dan oversees best practices and strategies for Digital Ad Management at Brandish. You'll work closely with Dan to ensure standardization between your accounts and other Brandish accounts.
  • Brandish Project Managers.
    Our project managers will brief you into campaigns; collaborate with you to understand requirements, timelines and level of effort; as well as collaborate with you on reports for our clients as required.
  • Other Brandish team members.
    Including our Agency Sponsors and Creative team, as appropriate.
  • Occasionally, our clients.

Tools you'll use

  • Slack.
    We'll use Slack as our primary form of communication with the Brandish team.
  • Google Drive.
    We rely heavily on Docs, Sheets and Slides. You should be familiar with how to create, share and organize files across Google Drive.
  • Google Meet.
    Our virtual meeting platform.

What we're looking for

Experience (Required)

6-8 years professional experience in either:

  • a digital ad management role in a marketing, advertising or creative agency
  • as an independent digital advertising contractor, freelancer or consultant

Experience with US health care and HIPPA compliance is a must

Platform Proficiency (Required)

  • Expertise creating campaigns across digital marketing platforms including Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Microsoft Ads.
  • Experience pulling quick data reports from GA4 in relation to advertising.
  • Intermediate experience with Google Tag Manager

Soft Skills (Required)

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong and proactive communication skills
  • Ability to seamlessly collaborate with agency teams
  • Confident in discussions and presentations with clients
  • You keep up with the latest marketing platforms and features

Location

  • Preference given to candidates within Canada
  • Must have at least some availability between 9am-5pm Central Time (Winnipeg)

Case Studies required

As part of your application, we are looking for
2-3 case studies
for campaigns you have managed, with
professional references
for each.

Case studies should aim to answer:

  • What campaigns have you previously managed?
  • Across which platforms?
  • How much ad spend did you manage on a monthly / campaign basis?
  • What were your target metrics? (i.e. CPL / ROAS)
  • How did it perform?
