Overview

We are seeking a skilled Grader to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operating heavy machinery, particularly graders, and will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient grading of surfaces for various construction projects. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate graders to create level surfaces for roads, parking lots, and other construction sites.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on grading equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with other heavy equipment operators, including dozers, loaders, and excavators, to complete grading tasks efficiently.
  • Assist in the setup and operation of horizontal drilling equipment as needed.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project progress and any issues that arise during operation.

Skills

  • Proficient in grader operation with hands-on experience in heavy equipment operation.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on machinery.
  • Experience with dozer, loader, backhoe, and excavator operations is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices is a plus.
  • Knowledge of paving techniques and materials used in construction projects.
