Senior Web Developer

What You'll Get To Do (Key Responsibilities) As a senior member of the team, you will move beyond simple implementation and play a critical role in driving our platform forward, directly embodying our values:

• Full-Stack Development: Write clean, efficient code to develop functional web applications and reusable libraries, ensuring high performance and maintainability.
• Architecture & Planning: Collaborate in a cross-functional team (Product, Design) to develop technical requirements and drive the architecture of resilient, scalable backend services and APIs.
• Quality Assurance: Design and implement comprehensive unit, functional, and acceptance tests to ensure the reliability and integrity of our codebase.
• Production Support: Take ownership of production health by troubleshooting and supporting production applications, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Mentorship & Growth: Actively foster the professional growth of team members through code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing.

What You'll Bring to the Role (Required Skills) We're looking for a developer who is proficient in the fundamentals and ready to lead with initiative and expertise:

• Experience & Ownership: 5+ years of software development experience with a proven track record of shipping high-quality code and a strong sense of ownership.
• PHP Expertise: Strong, demonstrable experience with PHP, including modern tooling, design patterns, and architecture. (Equivalent experience in similar object-oriented backend languages will be considered.)
• Web Fundamentals: Expert proficiency in creating cross-browser, standards-compliant HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Data & API: Strong working experience with Relational Databases (e.g., MySQL), including schema design and performance optimization, and experience designing and working with REST APIs.
• Process Champion: Is a champion of Agile/Scrum methodologies and enjoys shipping code often and confidently.
• Professional Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and appreciate the value of good documentation.

Bonus Points For (Preferred Experience)

• Direct experience developing features related to payments, billing, or FinTech.
• Familiarity with a modern PHP framework (e.g., Laravel, CakePHP, Symfony).
• Hands-on knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly React.
• Proficiency with various automated testing frameworks and practices.
• Experience leveraging AI/LLM development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools) in daily workflow, or experimenting with AI applications within a product.
